While I would love to have a championship, those are rather rare, so I am not going to whine if we win 8 games or 5 games.

They are not meaningless wins if the team and city is respected and it keeps people buying tickets.

It will lead to greater things hopefully, but I don't want to be a laughinstock on the slim chance Teddy Bridgewater is our savior.

I will take 5 wins, a little respect and increased ticket sales, which might make Free agents more likely to come here as well.

Then we take the best draft pick Caldwell can find.

Whining over wins, it's not in the Jaguars best interests, or Jacksonville's best interest.

 

If the Jags go 8-8 every year I find it hard to see how thats good for the city. Has the losing affected your judgement that much?? Short term, going 8-8 would seem good, but that would get old fast. 8-8 is not a "winner". The fans in Jax started to lose interest even by 2000 as ticket sales were declining and that was a mere 7-9 team. 

 

I find it funny that you suggest me and fans like me are front runners,,,,Are you mad??? This team has been trash for the better part of the last 14 seasons! If any of us were the "front runners" you suggest, guess what? We'd have dropped this team a heckuva long time ago. I find the accusation absurd, considering. 

 

As for not being a laughingstock team....I'd take the 1-15 or similar record in return for getting the QB that will lead us out of the consistent mediocrity. Becoming a consistent winner with some legit talent especially at the QB position is what will remove Jax from being a laughingstock.....not going 5-11 instead of 2-14.
