Quote:Yeah, that's not really how that works. You need to look at the ratio of total QBs drafted to how many turn into that caliber of player. If you're specifically using those two guys to make a point about finding guys late in the draft (as I think you were), then you'd need to look at total QBs taken in rounds 3 or later compared to how many of those turn into that caliber of player. Quote:Finding a Brady/Wilson is done via the draft. There has been way more than 32 qbs drafted since Brady. Y'know guys, it was kind of a joke. But on a more serious note, look around the league. Look at the best teams playing. Seattle: Drafted their QB in the 3rd round. He's playing well Denver: Signed their QB in free agency. He's playing very, very, well. Kansas City: Signed their QB in free agency. He's a game manager, but a very smart one, playing OK. New Orleans: Signed their QB in free agency. He's playing very well. Carolina Panthers: Drafted their QB in the first round, as a first overall pick. He's playing well. Indianapolis Colts: Ditto, except he's been a little off for the past couple games Arizona Cardinals: Signed their QB in free agency. He's on so hot right now. Cincinatti Bengals: Drafted their QB in the 2nd round. Those are the teams avoiding the gridlock that begins at the 5-6 win threshold. Only 2 of them used a high draft pick on their QB. Granted, 3 of the free agents are 1st overall picks, but it does prove you don't need that pick to find a successful QB. |
