Yes, 8-8 is competitive. In your world championship or nothing, but you don't buy tickets. You don't take your family to the games. You don't invest in the team. You don't spend Sunday loading the car with food and drink and 7 hours of tailgating and game. You don't spend 6 months of football season in this town.

Going 8-8 every season, if that's the only option (which it's not), never reaching the Super Bowl is better than going 2-14 every season for 20 years and reaching the Super Bowl once.

When I go to the games, while you sit on your mother's couch in her basement, I want to see the team win! It makes my day of live NFL football much more enjoyable than losing. Losing is for losers.
