The media frenzy over how well Cardale Jones played in his three starts was insane. Everyone thought he should make himself available for the draft because there was no tape of him playing bad. Hmmm. The NFL scouts need tape of him to know if he is worth drafting in any round, but the media kept saying he will go early in the first. This year, I wish J.T. Barrett was always the starter because Urban Meyer benched Jones during games Ohio State should have won easily (except for the Minnesota game, of course). The Buckeyes would have blown out Hawaii, NIU, and Indiana if Barrett had started those games.

 

All that said, I don't think Jones is garbage. He is much better than some backups in the NFL. I just don't understand why many people think three starts are enough to call him a first round pick.

Trav just says that to annoy me, which makes absolutely no sense. Once I told him Ohio is the Bobcats, so he called them the Ohio State Bobcats.

 

I would not mind if he called them the Suckeyes instead as that would be like calling the Cowboys the Cowgirls.
