Maybe I have a different definition of gloating.  But if you want to call being happy that we got another W against a rival, then sure call it gloating.  

 

At the end of the day, our record will be what our record will be.  Our draft position will not make or break the franchise.  As we have seen under our previous GM, if you cannot draft properly, it doesn't matter whether we pick 1st or 10th.  

 

We all know that having the #1 pick can potentially be a good thing for our future, but it's not a guarantee.  So I'd rather have a W or 2 now, and then worry about our drafting and player needs after the season is over.
