I don't think I'd say so impressed, but some younger guys are showing up at times.  Branch suddenly looks semi-average, which is improvement for him.  Ace has shown some things.  Cyprien flashes at times, etc. 

 

But to your second point, I actually agree.  I don't think the overall team is playing any better than they were 3 weeks ago.  Our wins have come against teams imploding in on themselves.  I mean we hung on to a win over the Texans with 13 points.  Who thinks that's because we're showing so much improvement?  The only team on our schedule this year that we kept below 24 points were the Raiders (at 19), and suddenly we hold the Texans to 6 while they're playing their recently promoted undrafted 3rd string QB.  And we want to pretend that's because we've shown that much growth?

Getting better is just a mirage at this point. In the scheme of the NFL talent pool, we are still bottom feeders no matter how hard these guys play for Gus.

 

I wish our scheduled wasn't so lopsided, because the 2nd half of this season is giving people false hope about this team. We are still VERY far away.

 

Yeah, pretty much.  I mean I think some individuals are probably showing some improvement due to the playing time, but the team is about the same and hitting an easier stretch of schedule.
