I Can't Defend Bortles Anymore
|
I guess I'm missing something here. At this point, Bortles is the Jags offense. Of the 24 total TDs the team scored, he's responsible for 23 of them. He has no support from the run game. Does he miss open guys? Sure, but today he completed 61% of his passes for two TDs and 320 yards--despite the Allens having a quiet day.
I'm the first one to admit he needs to cut down on the INTs, and he needs to be more efficient in the red zone. 26 points should be enough to beat most NFL teams. |
