Rivers was so successful because he got to the line with 15+ seconds left, studied the Jag defense, changed the play, adjusted his own players' positioning for the new call, made the right read and usually completed the pass. The problem is, the Jags just stood there, nobody moved, nobody faked a blitz, nobody switched coverage, they just stood there and let Rivers run diagnostics.
