This reminds me of the Cardale Jones craze. Brock Osweiler had no career starts at the time people started saying Denver should give him the reins (pun intended). Like Jones, Osweiler only replaced the starter because of a severe injury. If Osweiler was the starter because of on-field performance, that change would have happened weeks ago.
Now I am not saying Osweiler sucks. Obviously he is a good quarterback in Gary Kubiak's system. But no matter how good a quarterback is, nobody should judge him based on only 10 quarters. |
