It's also called the Miracle of Miracles,  which was the first nickname the play received nationally.   One of the announcers called it that on the telecast.   As a 10 year old at the time,  I still remember hearing that.  

 

It's understandable that John Madden is still upset about the call.   Yet,  4 seasons later,  Madden benefited greatly by a call against the New England Patriots in a first round playoff game in Oakland.   The season the Raiders went on to win their first Super Bowl.
