South Carolina is so bad this season (even losing to Citadel), I think Muschamp should be an upgrade over the interim. He has been a head coach in the SEC, worked with Jim McElwain at Alabama, and had two defensive positions at Auburn. Except for his stints at Texas and with the Dolphins all of his jobs have been in the SEC. I think that will help him turn the Gamecocks around and he is good enough for the job.
