APBA is a baseball game played with cards and dice. There is a card for each MLB player and the numbers on his card reflect his performance in the previous season. When he's up, you roll the dice and look at the number on his card, then read the result off a board (different board for each base situation- empty, runner on first, etc).
It's uncanny how close to their real performance the game comes. It sounds dumb but we have been at it in the same league for 32 years; D6 has a similar history. www.apbagames.com I think
