Pineiro is probably one of the most important signings for the team; plus, he can make an immediate impact.


However, I wouldn't buy much into the 70+ yard kicks. He was kicking with a 20+ mph wind to his back. Reminds me of Nick Rose from Texas. Everyone was in awe of him kicking 80+ yard field goals with ease on video. Yet, he can barely make a field goal come game time. Heck, he missed the extra point that could have won the game against Cal this year. I believe he's under 70% beyond 40 and under 40% beyond 50. YouTube is littered with videos of kickers making 70-80 yard field goals. The kickers always have a strong wind to their back and it's never the first take. Like the Dude Perfect videos, you gotta know he never makes those shots first take haha.
