We could use a few more guys on offense too and obviously need a kicker, but yes, fixing the defense is the top priority in 2016. Whether Bob Babich should stay or go depends on how good our defense is after we get the talent required to win games at all 11 positions, so I would not change the DC either before that happens.

Still, until we see Fowler have a game close to what Mack just produced against the Broncos (five sacks), it’s a massive edge to Oakland. Mack leads the NFL with 14 sacks.

 

Khalil Mack obviously has a one-year advantage because he did not miss his rookie season. Keep this in mind when comparing Mack and Dante Fowler. Also remember Leo is a Gus Bradley thing JDR didn't try, so the two players will not be used the same way. But I have no problem with fans comparing them if they want to.
