Should the Jaguars consider going for the two point conversion more often?

Quote:Myers is 29/36 on extra points, which is 80.6 percent, or .806.

.806 x 1 point = .8 expected points from Myers on extra points.

League average for 2 point conversion is 39/83, which is 47 percent, or .47.

.47 x 2 points = .94 expected points from going for two.

.94 > .8

Fire Myers and go for two.

Science demands it.
Except we aren't converting at the league average.

We are currently 0-2 on our 2 point conversions this year and were 25% last year.

We have been awful in short yardage situations this year. With an extra point you get only one shot to get in the endzone. It took 4 plays from the 1 yard line before Bortles could score only our 4th rushing TD of the season last week.

Scoring 2 would be great, but we haven't shown that we are anywhere near the league average in converting those types of plays
