I've been on the anti Gus train for a while, and I don't want to rehash all my points...


But to ignore the fact that we just always appear way behind the curve in terms of personnel adjustments and scheme corrections just makes it obvious to a lot of posters that the coaching is seriously lacking.


Also, and I've also said this quite a bit, most Gus Bradley detractors concede that the talent is not there. But even with a lack of talent, the measure of ineptitude is still strikingly troublesome.


We've seen no real strides from this d. It's a concern. And to ignore the lack of progression, to ignore the inability to make adjustments to suit personnel, to ignore the continued mental mistakes well into the season is disingenuous.


I think those of us who are no longer drinking the Gus juice have some very valid concerns that need to be addressed if this team wants to get better on defense. Yes, better players will also help. But you can't give the coaches a free pass either. If we were 20th on d, or were making progress, I could understand giving Gus a pass.


But that's just not what we are seeing.
