Panthers and Jaguars are the only two teams to not have played on Thanksgiving.

If the current TV formula is in place with the AFC team as the road Thanksgiving Day team in Detroit in 2016,   mathematically,   Jacksonville has a 50/50 chance of being the road team.   With Tennessee also having a 50/50 chance.    Being that the Lions hosted each of the other AFC South teams once on Thanksgiving Day since the Division has been in place,   the Jaguars are due to be the Lions road AFC opponent in the annual game in 2016.    If things go to plan,   the Jaguars should have a good roster in 2016 that make the team an attractive Thanksgiving Day opponent.
