What Every Man (and Woman) Should Know About Whiskey
|
Quote:Personally I'm a big fan of Knobb Creek or Basil Hayden. Straight and at room temp but I like to swish it in the glass and let it aerate for a minute to let some of that acetone flavor come out. Knob Creek is my favorite, so far. Buffalo Trace is really good, as well as Elijah Craig. I just finished off a bottle of Woodford Reserve, which also makes a good hot toddy and mixes well with egg nog (but don't they all). I'm thinking about signing up for ABC Liquor's Bourbon Lottery to get a chance at some rarer stuff. Btw, Four Roses is awful IMO. It starts off okay but has a funky finish. It reminds me of the taste I get in my mouth after nibbling on cheese for a while. That bottle got utilized to be drank with mix. Can't waste it. |
