LT could definitely be upgraded, no debate about that. But:


Up until yesterday, there were many posters that thought Joeckel was doing fine for most of this season. After the first few games, Joeckel was playing okay (not great, not pitiful either) for most of the season. Not many considered LT to be a weakness, and thought the main issue on the left side was Beadles. I really didn't see alot of people even mentioning a change at LT (I only recall most wanting to upgrade LG and C).


Joeckel was playing okay. And then yesterday happened. It was probably his worst game to date. Unfortunately, being the last game of the season, that is the lasting impression of him for the offseason. No doubt, he got beat like a drum. However, I saw JJ Watt also torment Andrew Whitworth and Andre Smith (2 of the best tackles in the league) earlier this year. He gives even the best O-line personnel trouble. So that should be part of the consideration.


I wouldn't mind if Caldwell made some sort of change at LT (draft or FA). But I really don't think he will.


O-line needs some work, yes. But the offense looked more than functional most of the year.


Defense is the ultimate priority.
