JaguarsWoman made a blanket statement that one should never trade up in the draft using multiple firsts. By listing Teddy, Luck, and THEN Peyton Manning in the post before that, it should be obvious that I'm using this year's example and then jumping to two of the best prospects ever to see if she would maintain that logic when presented with the most tantalizing of options. This is simple stuff.

 

I've been pretty adamant in my belief that Bridgewater is only behind Luck and Manning as the best QB prospect in the past 15 years, though. That's not very controversial.

 

Trading away our 2015 first round pick would be fine if we were loaded with talent and just needed a quarterback, instead of a team that needs almost everything starting with the quarterback. You have to take your team's situation into account and look at the big picture. What I am seeing here is a narrow-minded view that a team instantly goes from worst to best if the first overall pick is a quarterback. There is no truth to that at all.
