Haterade is right, it's as simple as that. Both JW and Bluegrass make good points, assuming we even have the #2  and also by using a little 20/20 hindsight on Luck and Manning. What if you trade up and get a Ryan Leaf?

 

I'm not impressed by RGIII. They gave up all those picks for him? The ACL has slowed him (and Mike Shanahan is 10 years beyond his prime) and it's only a matter of time before he is leveled again and the career virtually ends.

 

There's no sense in being in rebuilding mode and trading picks to move up, IMO. Imagine doing that and drafting the next Ryan Leaf, OMG.

 

Don't you love what DC/Gus are doing? The secondary looks rebuilt, the bottom of the roster has been solidified, aging veterans discarded, other pieces are in place (Joeckel, Sanders, et al), useful FA's (Marks, W. Blackmon) added, this year the QB and OL are coming along with a couple more FA's.

 

Trade up? Nah. Trade down if anything. Maybe sucker Washington again.
