When you compare my list of needs at the time he took over to your needs now, he's cut the needs on this team in half.

He's done so without a heavy emphasis on free agency.

 

Considering the standard draft haul is 7 picks, and mid to late round picks typically are not expected to make any sort of impact-if they make the team at all, I'd say he's done well.
