Should The Jaguars Be Actively Shopping Shorts Right Now, Like Cleveland Is Allegedly Doing With Josh Gordon?
|
Quote:You're right, Shorts was the guy making all the plays yet the defenses were keying in on a rookie who for most of the first half of the season was doing absolutely nothing. You've got it backwards, Blackmon benefited from Shorts being on the other side.. Before Shorts was starting Blackmon did nothing. Blackmon came into the league with a lot of hype and rightfully so, given his production/ play in college. He was a very high pick. I think you are kidding yourself if you don't think coaches/ defenses didn't focus on Blackmon over Shorts last year, thus benefiting Shorts. As said....look at the first 3 games this year with no Blackmon...has Shorts' play been the same as last year? I don't think so. Most of his production Sunday was in garbagetime with Seattle defending long as they were up by 100. |
