The offense has improved a lot. Part of that is from the 2nd year players improving over their rookie play. Part of that is adding Parnell and Yeldon. Part of that is from replacing Fisch with Olson. Maybe Gus gets credit for firing Fisch, but maybe not. Alfie claims inside info that Gus was forced into that decision. If so, hopefully someone will force Gus to replace Babich this week.

Gus' specialty is defense. Which defensive players have made "marked improvement" over how they played when they arrived??? Marks maybe, but he was pretty good from the start. Telvin was already a tacking machine in his very first preseason game. Colvin and Gratz are no better than their first few starts, nor are Evans and Cyprien.
