It's tough to support a coach who is averaging 3.4 wins a year, particularly when the "defensive coach," led his defense to 24th place in the NFL in his third year.  If you can't get to even numbers in your third year, the time should be up.

 

Look at veteran John Fox, he was at Denver for 4 years, but got tossed because he didn't take his team to win the Superbowl, after going to 3 AFC Divisional games and a Superbowl appearance.  Look at Andy Reid, he has 3 seasons where he lost more games than he won in 17 years.

 

Look at brand new to head coaching in the NFL Bill O'Brien, he took a 2-14 team and produced 9-7 in his first two seasons, all with shite for QBs.  Looks at Jim Harbaugh, he comes in his first NFL head coaching job and goes to NFC Division Championship, lost in the Superbowl, NFC Division Championship, but he goes 8-8 and he and the team have a "mutual disagreement." Now look at Chip Kelly: 10-6, 10-6, 6-9 and he's fired. 

 

In my opinion "rebuilding a team" is like lighting a fuse and it's going to go off soon: NFL teams need to have high standards, you win or you don't win, and it better be very, very fast.
