I'll admit. I wasn't one of the people sad to see Monroe go because I was under the impression Joeckel was going to be good or even elite. He looked too much like Tony Boselli to be a bust in my eyes and I was in denial. Also, the year he got hurt in his first game at LT against the Rams, I remember he stonewalled Robert Quinn that game before he went down, and that got me excited about the next season in which he turned into what you see today.

 

Now that I think about it, I wonder how bad that injury actually was.
