He was on the staff for Gibbs, Belichick and Carroll it's not like New Mexico State was his first job and then we hired him to do what he failed at. Not defending the guy or his poor performance with our DBs but it seems kind of silly to say just because the guy is not a good head coach he can't be a serviceable DB Coach.

Love the detail.  Very interesting that he only coached for Carroll, Belichick, and Gibbs during their down years.   Coincidence?  I think not.

 

Looks like Belichick got rid of him after 1 season when his Pats finished 5-11.    I wouldn't give him any credit for Malloy and Ty Law given the fact that their defense became good after he left.

 

USC?  he was there for a year so I'd be hard pressed to give him credit for Polamalu.
