Gus Bradley says firing Bob Babich was "Tough and difficult."

#24

Quote:“I have a responsibility to our players,” Gus said. “They're trusting me to make the right decision for them to be successful. We're already starting. I's not how fast we get it done it's about making the right decision. We'll do what’s best for the organization."

Why didn't Gus interfere with Babich during the last 3 years of failure? Was it out of respect for his former boss and friend, which made it so difficult to fire him as well?

I guess as fans we have no say in any of it and can only hope for the best in 2016.

I would guess. It might have been an oral agreement too that Babich would control the defense. Gus is seeing that he might have to start taking that control away since it's not working.

I mean, it makes sense. Why pay a DC top dollar if you're going to call the plays yourself.

I'm excited to see Gus get more involved next year.
