Alex Mack will be overpaid by someone and is damaged goods. He got ragdolled far too often this season and made some really dumb mistakes. Mack would step on the left guard's foot while trying to chip their man. As a result, the LG would be off balance and get put on their [BAD WORD REMOVED]. He did it to Bitonio and later Cam Erving. It was horrible.

Not sure about the statement in bold.

 

IIRC, they were willing to deal him to Denver for a low 1st round pick, but then Denver balked at the deal. 

 

A high enough 2, with maybe a later pick thrown in, might be enough to get it done considering he wants out and he is a year older.

 

As for Mack, I've made inquiries to Browns fans about his performance in 2015.  The consensus is that he started off poorly, identifying many of the things you do here, but then his play picked up in the second half of the year, and more resembled the Mack they knew.  A theory is that he was still recuperating from the broken leg.  Some said they would welcome him back if he decided to return, but they are resigned to lose him.
