Riddle me this... why was it only just before the draft were draftnicks talking about Fowler, instead of during his entire career like Clowney?

 

It was because we telegraphed the pick and everyone was expecting us to take the local kid.  Certainly not because he was seen as the best pick.  In fact, his college productivity wasn't really there until he lost about 15 pounds his final year in school.

I'm sorry, I'm not going to judge Fowler based off of his rookie camp injury and trash him like you are. I'm going to judge him based off of his college years until I see him play a real down in the NFL.

 

As for what you asked, I don't know what you're talking about. He was being talked about in his Sophomore year and was a key part of Florida's defense in his final two years. Did anyone get as much hype as Clowney? I'm pretty sure a ton of other pass rushers were ranked below him and went unnoticed. I'm glad all the buzz and hype worked out for Clowney in the end, it's making a big difference!
