Why weren't Caldwell and other scouts concerned with Fowler's explosion?

Another thing that I take from bench press, and it doesn't seem true in Fowler's case whatsoever, is that bench press usually is a good barometer for how hard an athlete works. Most of your loafers put up poor bench numbers.
 

Fowler does have a lot of "soft" (esp compared to Gregory and Beasley last draft). That said...he was only 20 years old around draft time and he didn't have an actual position at UF. If our staff can decide to settle him at one spot and build his body to suit that position, there's definitely plenty of time to do so.
