As expected, a bunch of comments by people that really have no idea...

 

The sailor "confessing" and "apologizing" is a direct reflection of how our military operates these days under their "leadership".

 

The U.S. is not the superpower that we once were.  During even Desert Storm kids 18-25 overwhelmed the enemy and were victorious without "giving up".  During Vietnam kids from the same age group fought valiantly and never "apologized" when captured (John McCain example).  During WWII kids from the same age group and sometimes younger stormed the beaches of Normandy.  During both the Civil War and the Revolutionary war the soldiers were even younger.

 

Today, these kids (military included) want their "safe zones" and their "political correctness".  They whine and complain if their wifi isn't working good and expect things to be given to them.

 

Those boats should never have been given up, and the assets in the area should have taken care of them.  Instead we make Iran look like they are relevant on the world stage and our president talks about "what he's accomplished" and what he wants to do before leaving office.
