In this generation we have become so soft and relativistic that most of the country doesnt know to be embarassed.

This is a an excellent tempering argument. While our people were returned relatively quickly, let's not forget the photos Iran released of them on their knees with hands on head, pawing over the weapons on board, and posing in the wheelhouse while displaying documents.  These are not the actions of a government interested in establishing cordial relations. Make no mistake, were it not for the diplomatic afterglow of the recent nuclear deal, these sailors would have been blindfolded and paraded around as trophies of the Great Satan America. To wit; the recent treatment of the "captured" British sailors.


With that being said, all this hue and cry about military escalation over a simple matter as this is asinine.
