Defensive coordinator candidates
|
Quote:Nobody worth talking about is coming here on a possible 1 year deal. We'll have to settle on someone in house or some no name I've said this before but it bears repeating. This is a very attractive place for a DC to land, because of the fact that we are going to spend heavily on the defensive side of the ball this offseason, draft picks and free agents, and whoever the DC winds up being will inevitably do a lot better than Bob Babich, because of the simple fact that they will have much better players. Therefore, their resume will say they took a bad defense and got it to middle of the pack. That looks really good on a resume. Even if it's a one year deal, they will be able to say, "The 2015 Jaguars were 31st (or whatever we were) in total defense, they brought me in as coordinator, and I got them to 15th the very next year." |
