I'm sure he and Bradley see eye to eye on many things concerning the defense, but I think he's his own guy.


I have NO idea if he'd be an upgrade at DC, but i'm not overly worried about him being a "yes man" any more than any candidate that agrees to run Bradley's scheme.

Wouldn't someone who wants to run Gus' defense be a yes man? Maybe we couldn't get a real outside hire because no one wants to run this scheme since we don't have an Earl Thomas?

 

If Gus was really interested in hiring an outside person, he would have told people "Look at our personnel and then you can run whatever defense you want." Because clearly what we have been doing is not working. "Yea but but but but INJURIES" Then guess what, you change it up to fit what you have.

 

I'm not trying to be a "MB expert" (or whatever that means... I guess maybe voicing an opinion different from the organization) but bringing a coach back from an abysmal defense doesn't seem like the answer.
