Well comparing to last year's combine, a 4.35 puts him in Waynes/Darby territory. With a 4.45 he doesn't crack the top 5 and is more close to the slowest CB... So yeah I think it makes a difference.


The fact is that teams place a huge emphasis on 40 times. I, personally, don't think it's as important as they make it out to be. But they do. Look at Fowler. Doesn't crack the top 10 in almost every pre-combine big board. He is near the bottom I'm almost every combine workout, but posts a quick 40 time. Post-combine, people suddenly have him as a top 3, top 5 prospect.
