And missing you're two best prospects for pressuring a quarterback for a combined 28 games is NOT par for the course. That's Tiger Woods hitting epic duck hooks off the tee all day and missing the cut. 
 

The Ravens were missing Suggs all year. That alone is a loss of the sacks of Marks and Fowler's rookie expectation combined. The Ravens finished 24th in defense, not 31st.


 

And I'm not convinced that the problem was entirely Clemons and Branch. Neither was that bad in the past. You said before that their job was to isolate and beat the OT one on one. If they are not very good at that then why keep doing it over and over and over and ... ? Try something different. If something different doesn't work immediately, keep trying. Don't go back to what has been a proven failure.


 

I hope Wash becomes the next great defensive coordinator. I hope the Jags and Bradley turn it around and make the playoffs next year. My expectation is that defense will collapse again, it will be blamed on injuries again, and the Jags will have a whole new staff in 2017.
