Wash: Fowler will not be in the same spot every down

Do you deny the defense was hurt by the offense-an offense featuring 5-7 rookie starters, in 2014?

Do you contend there has been an infusion of talent on defense comparable in scope to the offense in 2014?

For those who are unenthusiastic about the Wash hiring, do you believe there was substantial offensive improvement between 2014 and 2015?  Follow up question:  How did you feel about the Olsen hire at the time it was announced?

As to your first question yes, to some extent.  By how much? I don't know.

As to the second question, of course not.

I wasn't the one trying to argue improvement in 2014.  I wasn't the one poking fun.  I brought up facts, FBT doesn't want to use those facts.  That's not my issue and I'm not going to argue with him about it anymore.  Why would I?

I like the attitude of Wash.  Personally, all situations considered, I am happy he was the choice.  By hiring someone inside that assures we will continue to run this scheme and with some added talent and a year of development in guys like Colvin and Telvin, a year of familiarity for guys like House, Odrick, Skuta etc, we will finally know what we have.  From Gus on down, this year will tell us if the arrow really is pointed upward.

I do not have faith that Gus will turn out to be a Super Bowl or even playoff level coach anytime soon.  I don't think he ever leads us to a Super Bowl.  Do I want to be wrong?  You are darn right I do and I hope I am very soon.  I simply do not see it in Gus.  I like the man's attitude and him as a person but it's time to put up or shut up.

I was not enthusiastic by the Olsen hire and I am still not.  I've stated my opinion on that numerous times now.  I know that I'm in the minority after last season.  I'm okay with that.  It's only my opinion.  I contend that yes, while there was improvement, there was bound to be after 1. How awful we were in 2014 and 2. very talented players in Bortles, Hurns and ARob.  I think those three are naturally talented enough to show decent improvement from the garbage we saw in 2014.  It was almost impossible for Olsen not to show considerable improvement so long as he's even a slightly below average to average OC.  I personally do not care for the offense still.  I can live with it but do I think there would and will be better options for our young high talented offense?  Yes I do.

Overall I am glad Gus stuck around because there really was no great options to replace him this offseason unless one of the lesser known hires turns out to be a good one.  Hue Jackson was my personal favorite and the one that I am disappointed we missed out on.
