Do you think Todd Wash may prioritize Pass Rush over Free Safety for his Defense?

Quote:There is a very good chance. The Titans are either trading out or taking Tunsil, and whoever trades with them is taking a QB. Cleveland is taking a QB. San Diego is  a 3-4 team and Bosa does not fit in a 3-4. Dallas is the only team in the top 4 that would be a fit for Bosa and they are just as likely to take a QB as they are any other position, that's on top of the fact Bosa would have to grade out higher on their board than Jack and maybe Ramsey and it's no guarantee that will happen either.

As for us, while we technically could be a fit, Bosa is not the ideal LEO. He is slow and is a bull rusher. He does not bend the edge that well. And unlike Fowler he is not the type of versatile where you can move him all over the front 7 and have him rush. His best, and maybe only full time, position is a traditional 4-3 end and only a couple teams in the league use those anymore. I think he is way overrated by the internet draft community. He is more like a good/solid prospect than a great one. He is a decent pass rusher and plays the run well but nothing about him ensures that he will be a special talent and make multiple probowl and All-Pro selections. I see him dropping like Williams last year.

If you take Joey Bosa, you play him at the 5T. Jared Odrik is capable of playing the 3T, which would keep Marks fresh for 3rd downs (which is where Caldwell says they value Marks the most).

If you sign Vernon and draft Bosa, you should be set on the D-Line. If we could get a D that causes pressure like Denver, Carolina, Houston, etc. and combine in with our offense, you have a playoff team. A rotation of Vernon, Bosa, Fowler, Odrik, Marks, Miller, and Davis could be beastly. Could you imagine Bosa bull rushing the RT with Fowler rushing from off his hip, and having Vernon and Marks/Odrik coming from the other side?

Dave could then sign a FA FS/CB and then draft the other spot in the 2nd round.
