I don't want Clinton or Sanders to win, but clearly welfare is a very powerful incentive for some people in this country.

 

Regardless of what those polls say, look at reality.  Take this message board as a small example.  Do you see more support for a Democrat or a Republican candidate?  How about the current President's approval ratings.  Are they good?  To quote Ronald Reagan, "ask yourself.  Are you better off now than you were four years ago"?

 

Here is the full quote from Reagan, and by all means it is relevant today.
