  One of the questions that jump out is how will Caldwell and Bradley rate Walt Thurmond once their evaluations are complete.   Even with Thurmond's background with Gus Bradley,   there's a good chance that there will be at least one UFA FS that the Jaguars rate higher than Thurmond.   Considering the stakes for Caldwell and Bradley in 2016 and the Jags having a tremendous salary cap situation,    I would be surprised if the team's FS situation doesn't look much better in the coming months than it does currently. 

 

I feel pretty confident they will target a FA at FS that they rate higher than Thurmond (seems they'll have the money)  - but should that scenario turn out like the McCourty offer last year, Thurmond may be a much better consolation prize than Sergio Brown. 

 

This position has been a source of trouble since Bradley arrived and it is definitely one the more integral cogs in the works of his scheme as you suggest.
