You can't blame Wiz completely for the lack of run blocking this year. The entire left side, that's including Joeckel and Beadles didn't seem up to snuff this year in the run blocking department. I don't know what it is with those guys. It's like they need to start wearing pants with pockets in them and add some weights into them to help them hold up better. They get pushed around and bowled back way too easy at the initial point of contact. I lost count on how many times I'd see Luke or Zane just get completely uplifted to where they lost one foot off the turf at the minimum. Yeldon played a part as well. Let's not act like he was hitting the holes consistently. He had a few games where he had some really bad habits of shifting left to right and not trusting what he saw on the initial hand-off. This isn't on plays where he had the wolves on his back after two steps either. This is where he had time to think and go and wasted time in the backfiled shuffling left to right. That's the only thing I liked about Denard when he played this year, he didn't shift, he just went for the hole and hoped to break it loose. Yeldon will learn. This isn't college or Alabama anymore. You have to follow your initial assignments and then trust your eyes once you at least make it past the LOS. And we do need a better snapper. Wiz gave up 14 or 21 points in games that could have been the difference between 7 - 9 or 5 - 11 this year. That's not excusable at all.

 

I think what they should do, is try to secure Mack if possible. Place him in the Center position. Drop Beadles, kick Cann over to his spot at LG and then hopefully Linder is ready to go at RG for 2016. Parnell was decent at RT. Joeckel still leaves a lot to be desired at LT. He had a decent stretch but got absolutley manhandled in some match-ups. And he's the reason why Bortles ended up banging up his thumb in the season finale in Houston. And I remember him also getting blown off his feet several times and falling right into Bortles legs and knees more than once this year. And if that happens. We're done. Just like most teams in the NFL.
