Here's my problem: things like water contamination are an afterthought in the name of the Almighty dollar.  It's the wrong way to look at things.  Money should not be God, although it is.  But hey, these corporate big wigs are not going to be drinking that water, so why should they care?

 

Bio-fuels are a bigger problem than it's worth.  Ask yourself a few questions.

 

1.  Is it more important for society for a farmer to grow corn for consumption, animal feed or fuel?

 

2.  Take corn as an example.  Is it more profitable to grow for consumption, animal feed or fuel?

 

We have bio-fuel right now in the form of ethanol which is very bad for many engines.  It serves no useful purpose whatsoever, yet it's forced on us.
