Recruiting is not going to be an issue for Michigan as long as Harbaugh is coaching this team. Not sure how you can deny that at this point.

You can believe whatever you like, but the math is definitely not on your side.  Eliminate some of the players that they are over 25 and they will drop.

 

A drop outside the top 10 based on average is actually quite simple.  I don't know why you find it so hard to believe they would drop out the top 10 based on average, because as of now, with 29 recruits, they ARE ranked 10. According to 247 Sports average: 1. Alabama, 2. FSU, 3. LSU, 4. OSU, 5. Georgia, 6. USC, 7. Auburn, 8. Ole Miss, 9. Clemson, 10. Michigan.  Drop 4 athletes, obviously they would drop out of the top 10.

 

They would also drop out of the top-10 based on overall ranking.  I'll make it easy for you.  247 Sports has a class calculator; the same one they use to determine their final class rankings.  Michigan has 29 recruits, 4 over 25.  There are 4 recruits that Michigan backdated to 2015 and signed the same day.  Take them off the class list and Michigan's class falls out the top 10. I never said recruiting will be an issue, just saying this is a top class because of quantity not quality.  You are right about them having a good amount of 4* and 5* recruits.  While this is true, the issue are their grades.  There is a reason Michigan is the only top 10 NSD team with an average below 90.  There is a reason Michigan is barely ranked above teams with only 20 recruits, instead of 29.  It's because their 4* and 5* recruits are not graded very high.  Yes, #7 Georgia only has 13 4* and 5*, but they are ALL graded at above .90 (more like .94).  Yes, #8 USC may only have 13 4* and 5*, but all but ONE is ranked above .90 (once again, more like .94).  1/3 of Michigan's 4* and *5 are ranked below .90 and more on the 3* side of the rankings.
