The devil you know?  Maybe he's got roots already set down here and doesn't want to disturb them.  If he isn't willing to take the risk of trying to survive the training camp elsewhere, staying in JAX with coaches he knows would be a smart move.  I don't see him missing the 53 man cut if he tries to stay with us.  Plus, if he gets hurts elsewhere, he may never get back on the field with them.  He has a chance to stick with the same strength and conditioning coaches through his injury here.

 

Not all players want the risk for more playing time.  He may feel his best place is to mature with this group of pretty good receivers and to develop alongside Bortles/AR/Hurns/Greene/Lee.
