The deal between Maggie(Rick) and Gregory was pretty much the same, the deal itself I guess could be seen kinda as naturally aggressive.

 

I think they probably had to streamline it a bit more on the show in order to get [spoiler]Abraham and Daryl/Carol (my guess lol) deaths[/spoiler] while still dealing with the herd and Carl getting shot, plus Jesus and Hilltop in 8 episodes.

 

[spoiler]Yeah I don't think that was the Sanctuary or else it was a lot less menacing visually, plus it would be pretty lame (entertainment wise) if they knew where the compound was from the jump.[/spoiler]
