Not unpopular, just unlikely.

 

There may be questions about Jake Matthews to answer prior to drafting him. I regard him as a top college talent over-all and a top offensive tackle talent as well, but should NFL scouts kicking the tires, so to speak, want to see him play guard it could mean they see limitations that could cause his stock to fall.

 

There will also be questions about Johnny Manziel. Questions about his maturity, his durability, and the amount of shop-wear that appears evident this year. No questions about his talent. He has a major league arm, balance, pocket awareness, etc., but he does have some red flags that he might not give satisfactory answers to.

 

If you like Texas A&M, you probably saw some games this year. I thought it was interesting you had a Bama guard listed on the wish list.

Demarcus Lawrence is the dreaded DE tweener. He will convert to OLB in a 3-4 defense.

 

I guess you mean Georgia Tech CB Louis Young. Haven't seen him play, and the You Tube stuff seems to be dated way back to high school.

 

David Fluellen appears to be a running back from Toledo? He has good size, 6' 0", 215 Lbs. I sort of doubt he'll be drafted. I have been monitoring Trey Watts the running back from Tulsa as a mid-round steal. Unfortunately, he might not be as under the radar as I thought.

 

Larry Webster of Bloomburg is another one of those DE tweeners. He's too light to play NFL DE, and looks to lack the athleticism to play OLB in the 3-4 defense. He's a four-year starter on Bloomburg's basketball team and decided to play football for the first time since high school in 2012. He has generated interesting stats on a small school level. That won't translate to much in terms of draft-ability.

 

University of Miami TE Asante Cleveland will likely be drafted somewhere in the draft by a team looking for the "sprint" TE. Years ago, several players made a splash in the NFL as TE-FB tweeners. Too small for blocking like a TE, and too big for FB. They were called H-backs. The Jaguars had two hybrid TEs, Pete Mitchell and Ty Hallock, the latter was successfully converted to FB and had a few years extra added onto his career. Mitchell earned success for having great hands. Pete could catch anything near him. 

 

Cleveland is like neither H-back guy, but does look the part of a "sprint" TE. Too small to in-line block, not jet-fast enough for WR. To define a "sprint" TE think of our former player Zach Miller.
