Not true. John Cooper was fired after an 8-4 season that ended at the Outback Bowl. Why? Problems included players skipping classes, so they hired Jim Tressel, who believed the only reason to do that is a death in the family. Cooper was terrible at disciplining players. Tressel was vrey good at that, suspending Steve Bellistari from the Senior Day game for driving drunk. And I am sure you know whenever players violate team rules, they are suspended, no matter who the head coach is at Ohio State. So no, winning is not all that matters.
