You sure do "stand up" for UF.

 

 

Moot point considering the influx of people transferring out/in each 2-3 years within their program of study.

 

Not to burst your bubble, but a degree is no less valuable if obtained from FSU, UF, UNF, UCF, etc.

 

It is what you do with your degree that determines your success. 

 

LOL, are you kidding?   The bank I work at goes after certain kids from certain schools. 

 

Does work ethic come in after the fact, sure.....but if you dont think kids from more prestigious schools are more sought after I have to question you.  I cant believe someone would even question this...lol.  I found this, "Job recruiters ranked UF ninth on the list of places where corporations prefer to recruit new employees (2010) and No. 2 on SmartMoney magazine’s list of universities whose graduates get the highest salary return for their tuition dollars (2012)."  To say that job recruiters dont worry about schools is laughable.

 

By the way, I went to UCF.....UF is a better school than UCF.  I would even go as far to say that FSU is marginally better than UCF as well .

 

In a ranking based on provost/presidents of schools, it looks like UF is 49 and FSU is 91 and UCF is 170.  Looking at acceptance rates, FSU is the highest of the 3 and surprisingly the acceptance rate at UF is marginally lower than UCF.  The average GPA of kids that go to UF is 4.3, of UCF it is 3.8, and FSU it is 3.9.
