N.C. State defensive end Mike Rose, who participated in the Shrine Game and a player many felt deserved an invitation to Indianapolis, turned heads during the Wolfpack pro day. Rose measured 6024, 261 pounds, timed 4.67/4.66 in the 40, 4.40 in the short shuttle and 7.47 in the 3-cone. He posted a vertical jump of 33.5 inches, a broad of 9-8 and completed 17 reps on the bench (33.5-inch arms).
I'm told Rose did an extensive amount of positions drills, many of which were linebacker drills, and looked really good. He met one-on-one with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Indianapolis Colts, San Diego Chargers, San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos and Cleveland Browns.
